Goodbye Blue Monday are a punk rock band from Central Scotland. Formed in late 2016, the band play raw, passionate, anthemic and uplifting modern melodic punk rock with strong Scottish roots, influenced by the likes of Dead To Me, Hot Water Music, The Flatliners and Dillinger 4.
“The Sickness. The Shame” is the band’s first EP release through Make That A Take Records and features three foot-stomping tracks of refreshing anthemic punk rock, tackling the often difficult subjects of mental health, bi-polar disorder and grave existential angst. Playing self-styled “misery punk”, the band address these issues with emotionally honesty, passion and humour, and have crafted a cathartic zinger of a debut EP.
“The Sickness. The Shame” was self-recorded and mixed/mastered by John Harcus at Harcus Audio in Perth. The EP will be available on limited edition CDEP and as a digital download. All band proceeds from the sale of this EP will be donated to the Samaritans.
